Why Choose At Home Euthanasia?

Peaceful and familiar

Your pet stays in the environment they know and love, their favourite spot, surrounded by their family. No car trips, no unfamiliar smells, no clinical waiting rooms.

Unhurried and personal

We arrive when you're ready and take the time you need. There is no rush. You guide the pace, and we follow your lead.

Whole family welcome

Children, other pets, extended family, everyone is welcome. We create a calm, private space so each person can say goodbye in their own way.

Pre-sedation included

Before anything else, your pet receives a gentle sedative so they drift into a deep, comfortable sleep. The euthanasia solution is then administered while they are fully relaxed.

Aftercare coordinated

We handle cremation arrangements or guide you through home burial options. Paw print and fur clipping keepsakes are available on request.

Grief support provided

Losing a pet is a profound loss. We provide grief support resources and follow up in the days after your appointment.

What’s Included & How It Works

  1. 01

Book online or call us. Once a time is confirmed, our vet arranges a pre-visit telehealth call to talk through exactly how the visit will go and answer any questions you have.

  2. 02

We arrive at your home at the agreed time and spend unhurried time with you and your pet, settling them in their favourite spot, surrounded by family.

  3. 03

A gentle pre-sedation is given so your pet drifts into a deep, calm sleep, completely relaxed and free of any stress.

  4. 04

When your family is ready, the procedure is carried out peacefully. We then give you quiet time with your pet to say goodbye at your own pace.

  5. 05

If cremation is elected, we handle the transfer and coordinate the cremation arrangements with our trusted partner. A paw print or fur clipping keepsake is offered before we leave, and grief support resources can be shared with you if needed.

This is the most personal decision a pet owner faces. We're happy to discuss your pet's quality of life with you over the phone or via telehealth, without pressure, at your pace. Signs that many families watch for include loss of interest in food or favourite activities, difficulty breathing, inability to move comfortably, and more bad days than good.

We arrive at your home and spend time with you and your pet before anything happens. When you're ready, we give a gentle sedative injection so your pet drifts into a deep, comfortable sleep. Then the euthanasia solution is administered peacefully. The whole process is calm and unhurried, your pet will not feel any pain or distress.

Absolutely. Children, other pets, and extended family are all welcome. Many families find it deeply meaningful to all be together. We create a quiet, unhurried environment so everyone can say goodbye in their own way.
