At Home Euthanasia
A peaceful farewell in the comfort of home
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest moments a family faces. Our at home euthanasia service allows your companion to pass gently and peacefully in the place they love most, surrounded by family, without the stress of a clinic visit. We move at your pace and honour your need for time and space.
Quality of Life Consultation
Helping you know when it's time, without pressure
When your pet is ageing or living with a serious illness, it can be hard to know whether their quality of life is still good enough. This consultation is a calm, unhurried conversation and examination at home, where our vet assesses your pet's comfort, dignity, and day-to-day experience, and helps you decide what the right next step looks like. For some families that's palliative care to keep their pet comfortable for longer; for others, it's the clarity that it's time to say goodbye.
Chronic Disease Management / Palliative Care
Ongoing care and comfort for pets living with chronic illness
When a cure is no longer the goal, quality of life becomes everything. Our chronic disease management service focuses on maintaining comfort, maximising wellbeing, and supporting both your pet and your family through a serious or ongoing illness. We partner with you to create a personalised care plan that evolves with your pet's needs.
Behavioural Consultation
Understanding why, and what to do about it
Behaviour problems are one of the leading reasons pets are surrendered or euthanised prematurely. Our at home behavioural consultations assess your pet in their own environment, where problems are most apparent. We identify root causes, rule out medical contributors, and give you a practical, evidence-based plan.

What Families Are Saying
Trusted by Melbourne pet owners for compassionate at home care.
“Dr Jina was very compassionate in her care for Bruce (our cat) at our home. Bruce is 17yo and usually very stressed when going to the Vet, making it difficult to have a proper examination. We booked a Quality of Life consultation, and Bruce is now on medication and his health has improved. At Home Vetcare was a great solution, and we were very happy with his care (and follow up).”

“We had such a great experience with the at home visit for our two kittens recently. One of them had a sore eye and Jina was absolutely wonderful, so caring, gentle, and thorough throughout the whole visit. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel completely at ease. This made all the difference as new pet parents. Pickles and Rocket were treated with so much kindness and patience in the comfort of our home. We’re really grateful for the excellent care and would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a compassionate vet.”
Estelle Willing · Google Review
“Jina was amazing. We moved house and our poor cat Pavlova just wasn't loving things. Jina talked us though what could be causing his stress levels and recommend a few different options to get him back to his old self. Pav is now back bossing the household like old times. Thanks Jina”
Sam Blake · Google Review
“Dr Jina was so kind to my very anxious dog (and her very worried owner!) and was able to help within 24 hours after reassuring me on the phone. I am so incredibly grateful, will be spreading the word to all local pet owners and be a guaranteed return customer.”
Megan Glenister · Google Review
“Dr Jina showed such kindness and compassion when she came to our house to euthanise our beloved elderly dog. It was such a sad time for our whole family. It meant so much to me that our dog died peacefully in his bed at home. Dr Jina was able to guide us through the whole process. We had a great experience using At Home Vetcare and I would definitely use them again in the future for other pets.”

“Having our dog Biscuit pass at home, in his favourite spot on the couch, surrounded by the whole family, I can't imagine doing it any other way. The vet was so gentle and gave us all the time we needed. Truly a gift.”
Sarah M. · Biscuit · Richmond
“Our cat Mochi had kidney disease and the palliative care plan made such a difference in her final months. The team was always available to answer questions and adjusted her care plan as her needs changed. Couldn't have done it without them.”
James & Lily T. · Mochi · Fitzroy
“We struggled with our rescue dog's anxiety for years. The at home behavioural consultation was eye-opening, seeing Rufus in his own environment really made a difference. We finally have a plan that works.”
Karen B. · Rufus · Carlton
“The telehealth appointment was so convenient. I was worried about a lump I'd found on our cat and got reassurance and clear next steps within 24 hours. No stressful car ride needed!”
David H. · Luna · St Kilda
“From the initial call to aftercare, everything was handled with such warmth and professionalism. Receiving Penny's paw print in the mail a week later meant more than I expected. Thank you.”
Michelle R. · Penny · Northcote
“We were nervous about at home euthanasia but it was truly the most peaceful experience. Our vet explained each step beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect. Our boy Oliver passed so calmly, we're so grateful.”
