Why Choose At Home Vet Care?
Less stress for your pet
No car trips, no unfamiliar smells, no clinical waiting rooms. Your pet stays in the environment they know.
Unhurried time with your vet
We plan visits around the time your pet actually needs — not a rushed 15-minute clinic slot.
Better for anxious or senior pets
For pets who find the clinic overwhelming — or who can't comfortably travel — at home vet care removes a major source of distress.
Whole family welcome
Children, other pets, and extended family are welcome to be present in ways that clinics can't accommodate.
A fuller clinical picture
Seeing your pet at home often tells us more about their daily life and comfort than a clinic visit ever could.
Ongoing support, not just a visit
We follow up after visits and stay reachable between appointments for the questions that come up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our at home vet care covers the services that benefit most from being delivered in your pet's own environment — at home euthanasia, palliative and chronic disease management, quality of life consultations, behavioural consultations, and telehealth consults. We don't currently offer emergency or surgical care.
Pricing depends on the service. Telehealth consultations start from $99, quality of life and palliative consults from $179, behavioural consultations from $249, and at home euthanasia from $449. We always confirm costs before the visit.
We currently service 110+ suburbs across Melbourne, from the inner city out to the middle and outer rings. If you're not sure whether we cover your address, call us — we'll always try to help or refer you to someone who can.
For older pets, anxious pets, or any pet who finds travel stressful, being seen at home removes a significant source of distress. Your pet stays in the environment they know and love, the whole family can be present, and our vet has time to understand the full picture in a way that a short clinic appointment doesn't allow.
For non-urgent appointments, booking 2–3 days ahead gives us the most flexibility. For end-of-life or palliative care situations where timing matters more, call us directly — we do our best to accommodate urgent requests the same day.
In-home services are currently limited to metropolitan Melbourne. Our telehealth service is available to Victorian residents and, in many cases, clients elsewhere in Australia.
