Looking for a vet in South Yarra? Here's what to know
There are several ways to get veterinary care in South Yarra, and the right choice depends on your pet's situation.
For routine check-ups and vaccinations, traditional clinic visits work fine for healthy adult cats and dogs who travel well. South Yarra has several clinics within a short drive.
For senior pets, anxious pets, or end-of-life care, the journey to a clinic is often the most stressful part of the visit. A vet who comes to your home in South Yarra can assess your pet in their own environment, with no car travel or waiting room. That's particularly important for palliative care and home euthanasia, where comfort matters most.
For quick questions or follow-ups, telehealth lets you talk to our vet from anywhere. Useful for “is this serious?” calls before deciding on an in-person visit.

What to expect from a vet visit in South Yarra
Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and Albert Park are bayside apartments, refurbished warehouses and the occasional double-fronted Victorian. Most visits here are for cats and small dogs in apartment buildings, often with concierge or fob-only access, let us know the access details when you book and we'll plan the visit to suit. We arrive with a quiet kit so other residents in the lift barely notice we're there.
- Apartment buildings with concierge or fob access, share the details when booking.
- Many small dogs and indoor cats; we have appropriate kit for both.
- Bayside streets often have metered parking; we factor that in.
